Trans World IX is a global telecommunications company with offices around the world. The core business focuses on low-latency data communications. Its primary technologies are point-to-point circuits and its unique approach to the Internet called Sonic Transit™. Sonic Transit uses revolutionary, patented routing technologies to minimize Internet latency resulting in a far more satisfying user experience. The company also licenses this technology to Internet service providers.
The company also provides Internet backbone engineering and management, data center co-location, and consulting services to firms wanting to consolidate their data center infrastructure.
Based on its outstanding service, the company has flourished since its founding in 2004. It presently serves an impressive customer base from its more than 10 points of presence in North America and more than 30 globally.

Tim Kersnick – Founder and CEO
Mr. Kersnick has 25 years of professional experience in telecommunications and technology. Early in his career he was awarded Bayer Corporation’s President's Achievement prize 2 years in a row for artificial intelligence programming work. He received and holds 2 U.S. patents that are licensed to the automotive industry. In 2000 he was the first to publish a fix to the Love Bug computer virus and assisted the FBI with tracking down its creator. Tim has founded several companies, including Trans World IX, which he founded in 2004. He is the inventor of the patented technology that powers Sonic Transit™.
Mike Wilson - CTO
Mike is an Internet and Telecommunications veteran with more than 14 years in the business. Mike has been involved with Internet technology since 1996 and has experienced its explosive growth first hand. Mike built and managed the Mobile365 network that later became known as Sybase365. He is part of the R&D team at Trans World IX that developed many industry firsts, including the initial use of low latency routing optimization.
